So here's what our chains look like when they're fully installed. And these are gonna give us that extra traction whether we're driving on ice or snow. It's gonna feature square links that are in a diamond pattern shape to give more tire coverage, and get that extra traction. Our links are gonna be smaller than most square link chains, and since they form that diamond pattern, they're gonna give us adequate traction, but also a smooth ride. Today on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC2317. These chains have square links coupled with a diamond pattern design, which is going to provide excellent traction on both snow and ice. These are also made from a manganese nickel alloy, which is very durable and corrosion resistant. These are SAE Class S chains, which means they work real well with vehicles with a limited wheel well clearance. They also come with their own tensioner, which makes the install much easier, so you don't have to worry about those extra tensioners that you have to purchase separately. The maximum speed rating for these is going to be 30 mph, and when you're finished using them, they do come with a convenient carrying case, so you can place them in there and in your vehicle, so they're ready for the next time. Today, we're working with tire size P235/55/19. Now, if these chains don't fit this particular tire size, double check the size, then go to our fit guide and find the proper fit. Before we install the chains onto the tire, we went ahead and laid them out in front of it just to make sure there's no kinks or anything like that. more

These are SAE Class S chains, which means they work well with vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance. These will work on front or rear-wheel drive vehicles, they install very quickly and easily and these are meant for highway use and not for off-road applications. When you're finished driving, it does come with a carrier case that you can place the chains in so they're ready for the next time. Before we place the chains onto the tire we went ahead and laid them out on the ground, as you can see here, to make sure there's no kinks in the lines. Once you're sure of that, we'll take the chains, drape them over the tire and start making our connections. Today we're going to be working with tire size 205/55-R16. You see how the links are wrapping around each other at this point You want to make sure that this end is facing away from the tire. more

All right, today on this 2012 Hyundai Sonata we're going to show you the Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains, Part Number PWPLC1138. Now for reference, we'll work with a tire size today of 205/65-R16. Now this is what the snow chains look like when they're installed on a tire. We'll go ahead and take a closer look at the crossbars. When we look at the links themselves, it's constructed from a square stock. There's at least two sides of the corner that faces the ice and snow and helps it dig in. This is what's called Class-S chain which is designed for vehicles with limited clearance between the fender well and a tire and also components behind the tire as well. All right, now one last little detail about the crossbars here is that the links are created from the case hardened steel so this'll take a very long time to wear down, and the rest of our chain is created from the low carbon steel. Now these chains are designed for basically light duty use, basically get you out of a jam when you need to. more

Today on our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Chains, pat number PW1046. To being our install, we're first going lay our snow chain out. Now, as we've got it laid out, we'll make sure the smooth side is facing the tire and the outside, away from the tire, will be the hook side, so it doesn't dig into our sidewall. Let's go ahead and take it and lay it up over the top of our tire. As we set it in place, we're going to try to get our cable even, both inside and outside of the tire, on the sidewall. We'll roll the bottom half down around the bottom of the tire and now we can move underneath and secure the cable and eyelet. We're going to take the notched end of our cable, feed it through the eyelet end. more
